Extensive road works were going on around the hotel.The hotel is very close to St Charles railway station and the Vieux Port. There is a small fridge in the room that has only 3 bottles of water - beware this is the “minibar”. Something terribly wrong with the plumbing as water in the wash basin doesn’t go down leaving stains. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of hot and cold food and excellent croissants. I also argued that most hotels that I’ve stayed in provide free complimentary water and if there is a “minibar” in the room it usually contains more than water - e.g alcohol, snacks, chocolate etc. I argued that this is unethical practice to charge my account after I stay and not mention when I leave that there was such an expense.
